Radiation protection, engineered for the hands that operate.
RFB Gloves manufactures sterile radiation protection gloves in five attenuation chemistries — leaded and lead‑free — CE‑certified under PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, Category III, and exported worldwide from India.
The Glove Range
Five series. One index.
Every series pairs an attenuation compound with a glove polymer — so teams can choose the balance of shielding, tactility and material compatibility that fits their procedure.
Lead oxide in DNR — the benchmark for attenuation, in Light, Medium and Heavy. @ 60 kVpup to 70% PX Lead‑Free · Polyisoprene
Bismuth oxide in synthetic polyisoprene — lead‑free and latex‑free. @ 60 kVpup to 62% BX Lead‑Free · Latex
Bismuth oxide in natural rubber latex — an environment‑friendly alternative to lead. @ 60 kVpup to 60% WX Tungsten · Polyisoprene
Tungsten in synthetic polyisoprene — high‑density shielding without lead or latex. @ 60 kVpup to 62% LX Leaded · Polyisoprene
Lead oxide in synthetic polyisoprene — leaded protection for latex‑sensitive teams. @ 60 kVpup to 61%
Attenuation measured in the direct beam per series data sheets. Gloves protect against scattered radiation; not intended for use in the primary beam.
Beyond Surgical Gloves
Protection along the whole forearm — and for heavier work.

Radiation Protection Sleeves
Attenuating sleeves that extend scatter protection along the forearm during fluoroscopy‑guided work.

Lead‑Lined Heavy Gloves
High‑attenuation gloves for handling applications where maximum shielding takes priority over surgical tactility.

Specified by the numbers, chosen for the feel.
Verified attenuation
Every series is tested in the direct beam across 60–120 kVp, with lead‑equivalence stated at 80 kVp per IEC 61331‑1 and ASTM F2547.
Sterile by design
Supplied as inner‑wrapped pairs in sterile pouches, ethylene‑oxide sterilised to a sterility assurance level of 10⁻⁶.
Certified quality
CE‑marked under PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 Category III and manufactured in accordance with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001.
Built for the hand
Anatomically shaped, powder‑free and chlorinated for dry or damp donning, with beaded cuffs and a micro‑rough grip finish.
End Use Applications
Wherever hands work near the beam.
RFB gloves shield against scattered secondary radiation during imaging‑guided procedures across:
- General X‑ray & fluoroscopy
- Interventional radiology
- Radiography
- Neuroradiology
- Urology
- CT‑guided procedures
- Radiotherapy
- Nuclear medicine
