End Use Applications

RFB gloves are indicated wherever excellent dexterity must coexist with protection from scattered ionising radiation — across medical imaging, radiological and invasive image‑guided procedures.

01

General X‑Ray & Fluoroscopy

Continuous screening places hands near the scatter field for extended periods — the core use case the range is built for.

02

Interventional Radiology

Catheter and guidewire manipulation under fluoroscopy, where tactile feedback and attenuation must be specified together.

03

Radiography

Positioning and support tasks in diagnostic radiography where hands work close to the exposure field.

04

Neuroradiology

Long, precision‑critical neurovascular procedures where hand fatigue and dose both accumulate.

05

Urology

Fluoroscopy‑guided endourology and stone work with sustained hands‑near‑field time.

06

CT‑Guided Procedures

Biopsies, drainages and ablations guided by CT, where intermittent exposure meets sterile technique.

07

Radiotherapy

Set‑up, handling and support tasks within radiotherapy departments.

08

Nuclear Medicine

Preparation and administration work with radiopharmaceuticals, with the lead‑free series easing disposal.

Matching series to setting. High screening‑time interventional work typically pairs with RX Medium/Heavy; latex‑controlled environments with PX, WX or LX; lead‑free procurement policies with PX, BX or WX. Our team will map your procedure list to protection levels — send it over.

Scatter, Not Primary Beam

Protection with the right expectations.

Attenuating gloves reduce the dose from scattered secondary radiation reaching the hands. They complement — never replace — good radiation practice: collimation, distance, exposure time discipline, and keeping hands out of the primary beam.

Attenuation for each series is measured in the direct beam at 60–120 kVp and published on the data sheets so physicists can evaluate real shielding values, not marketing claims.
